The hosts will kick things off against Scotland on June 14 at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Managers will now be pondering some huge decisions as they weigh up who to include in their 26 man squad for this summer’s European Championship.

Eager eyes will be waiting for the squad announcements, with that news sporadically coming in from the participating nations in the next couple of weeks, as managers announce their preliminary teams. With so many nations boasting an abundance of talent, there are sure to be some big names missing out. Most popular player choices by fans so far for the top nations

In the results so far from all supporters in their Euro 2024 squad selections, we have picked out the players that have been included the most so far for the top competing nations at this summers tournament. The player most popular for the hosts Germany is Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rüdiger with the defender included in 97.06% of the squads built so far. The 31 year old has has already won La Liga and will play Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on June 1. For many people's favourites England the most popular player is Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the 25 year old included in 96.35% of England squads so far. 

When looking at the squads selected for another strong contender France, it's in fact not superstar Kylian Mbappé most included, but AC Milan full-back Theo Hernández, with the defender included in 97.85% of the squads. For Spain it's Manchester City midfielder Rodri with the midfielder in 95.88% of squads - perhaps surprising that 4.12% have left him out. It's another Man City star for Portugal in defender Rúben Dias with the centre-half in 97.44% of squads. Once again a Sky Blues star for Belgium, with playmaker Kevin De Bruyne in 97.82% of squads selected. For Italy it's Alessandro Bastoni who is included in a very high 98.28% of Italy squads built so far. Finally Virgil van Dijk takes first place for Netherlands, included in 98.15% of squads.
